About Us
Strides Academy: Rhode Island’s Premier Special Education School for Emotional & Behavioral Support | Grades 1-8
Strides Academy is a RI based accredited private special education alternative day school for students with emotional and behavioral challenges. We offer a wide range of services to all genders, grades 1-8, in small intensive group settings with a special educator and 2-3 behavior technicians per classroom. All classrooms are supported by a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst.
We accept referrals from LEAs of any school district within the state of RI.
Hours, Calendar & Transportation
Strides Academy is a 180-day school-based program with additional programming during ESY (Extended School Year Services). Our school week is Monday-Friday from 8:30am-2:30pm.

We are located at 160 Orchard Street in East Providence but for busing, transportation, and parking purposes, please use 81 North Carpenter Street.
